Offer prayers at home: Mufti Azam Kashmir to people

Grand Mufti of Kashmir Mufti Nasir Ul Islam Wednesday said that Kashmir does not have adequate medical facilities available due to which people should avoid large congregational prayers in Masjids.

To fight COVID-19, Jammu and Kashmir does not have enough ventilators, sufficient testing facilities & adequate medical staff available. “Therefore, I request Imams, Muazins to offer obligatoy prayers with association of two to three young people living in the neighbourhood of Masjids.”

He adds other people should pray at home and adhere strictly to health advisories. “I request you to seek mercy of Allah & pray Almighty to give strength to our doctors & medical staff.”

He requested all Ulamas, Khateebs and Imams to implement the direction in letter and spirit.
