Principal urges public to avoid jostling hospital, reporting with patient
Principal, SKIMS Medical College, Dr Reyaz Ahmad Antoo today took stock of the arrangements made at the hospital—directing the concerned to gear its men and machinery amid COVID-19 pandemic.
In a statement issued here, the Principal gave final shape to the arrangements made for management of COVID 19 cases to be taken for admission and further management at SKIMS Medical College-Hospital, Bemina which has been designated as Covid-19 centre along with many other Hospitals in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Principal said that in order to order to provide treatment facilities to the diagnosed cases of Covid-19, all the possible arrangements are in place.
During the meeting the action plan was discussed—in which the Principal stressed upon the need for any referral centre to refer covid-19 diagnosed case to this Hospital and not send any case for screening/testing as this centre is solely involved in management of diagnosed cases.
It was also stressed that following mentioned contact numbers be contacted before referral, so that all arrangements for reception of the patient and further management are put into full gear.

The Principal urged public to avoid any attendant reporting with the patient. He said that patients shall be admitted, provided all facilities including high end medicines, hygienic food free of cost. He laid stress on social distancing particularly at grocery shops, vegetable /fruit markets, play grounds etc. besides maintaining hand hygiene, use of simple masks, avoiding unnecessarily travel.
