In recently announced annual 10th standard results, Government-run-schools in Kashmir have remained behind by 23.29 percent from the private schools.
According to Board of School Education (BOSE) figures, the pass percentage of students in private schools is 86.26 percent while in government schools only 62.97 percent student’s qualified matriculate exams.
BOSE figures reveal that 32223 students of government schools appeared for the annual board exam of 10th standard out of which 20292 students qualified it.
Similarly, 33170 students of private schools appeared in the exams out of which 28613 qualified the exams.
However, among the total number of students 16412 students could not qualify the exams.
The annual result of 10th standard was declared on Thursday with an overall pass percentage of 74.79 percent. In this year’s 10th class exams, a total of 65393 students including 33981 male and 31412 female had appeared in it.
